Having trouble with your smartphone?
Everyone wants them. They are the most desired mobile
devices. With them people can access Internet to chat,
check on e-mails and more because they are like a
personal computer enclosed in a telephone.
Smartphones are nowadays well – known devices that allow
users to expand their telephone and Internet
requirements.
Luis Blanco, a Windows Mobile certified expert, explains
that the smartphone market is based on the systems
Blackberry, Symbian from Nokia, Windows Mobile (HTC) and
Palm OS.
Where is the customer service?
The truth is that people don't receive appropriate
services for their requirements regarding these devices.
When someone has any trouble with the telephone, the
operator that sold it does not offer the customer any of
the services that should come included with such an
expensive product. Blanco explains that the main problem
starts right at the beginning, even before the customer
buys the telephone.
No one at the moment of the sale asks the person if he
or she knows how to use it, and the result is that there
are more and more sold phones each time that aren't
properly used. In Venezuela, and other countries, people
believe that this type of device should be supported by
cell-phone operators, Blanco ex-plains, but he also
thinks that is a mistake because the manufacturer should
be the one responsible for selling them and, in
consequence, the manufacturer should be offering the
option of customer service. The main cell phone
operators do not really have the employees qualified to
give proper assistance to their clients. With such an
advanced device, users should have the right to have a
department, or personnel, specialized in giving services
to the smartphones.
However, these kinds of problems are solved through the
main customer service system, which is not always
efficient for them. With Internet connection problems,
for example, the service is based on some simple
mechanical instructions that are not always capable of
helping the user.
Then, people sometimes must look for the support of an
external expert like Blanco to find a solution Generally,
smartphones come with a particular configuration.
However, if for any reason the user needs to reset them
they must go the manufacturer, be-cause the operator
does not train the user to do so.
The main cell phone operators do not really have the
employees qualified to give proper assistance to their
clients.
People do not know which smartphone is the best one for
their needs, and apart from the fact that there is not a
great variety of these phones, they end up buying the
latest one in the market, without knowing if it will
really satisfy what they are looking for.
Blanco suggests that operators and manufacturers walk
together for the benefit of the user, with an
appropriate investment in qualified customer service and
training programs for users. |||
